UnknownMore than fifty staff at PHS Group which serves the UK facilities management industry raised nearly £8000 by running in the National Forest 10k, as part of the company’s pledge to raise £50,000 for Together for Short Lives, a charity for children with life-threatening conditions.

As part of PHS Group’s 50th anniversary celebrations James Clark,
managing director of PHS Direct, Mike Johns, technical director and Chris Lodge, training director led the team, made up of staff from all areas of the Group, and all parts of the country.

James Clark, managing director of PHS Direct, said:

“During our 50th anniversary year we decided to give something back to important community organisations. The money we raised from our run will go towards providing specialist equipment, care and support for children with life limiting illnesses and their families. PHS Direct also backs the National Forest, an environmental project designed to transform 200 square miles in the centre of England. We make a donation for every box of paper we sell, and have planted a woodland of around 20,000 trees.”

The National Forest 10K covers 6.21 miles, the scenic run takes place in mature and young woodland.  To sponsor the PHS team in raising £50,000 for charity log ontowww.virginmoneygiving.com/team/runningfor50years
